I’m Maya, a professional makeup artist based in Buckinghamshire on the north-west edge of London.
By day I enjoy nothing more than creating beautiful looks for brides and their parties. And by night I invent spectacular character transformations for actors, models and stage performers – especially around Halloween. You can see my Halloween and creative effects portfolio here.
I have worked for high fashion ecom brands including Burberry, Selfridges and ASOS, been published in magazines such as Harpers Bazaar , Elle and L’officiel (see my fashion portfolio here). And through my 20 years of being in the industry, I have worked for many VIP clients in London, some of whom are listed below. Notable regular clients of mine include Jonathan Ross, Cirque Le Soir, Annabel’s Mayfair, The Royal Academy of Arts and others.
I come from an art background. Initially I wanted to become a fashion illustrator and photographer, and studied at the London College of Fashion before deciding to change direction, trading sketchbooks for skin, and work in makeup instead.
Years of working in the fashion and performance industries have honed my ability to create beautiful, striking looks on brief, on time and exceeding expectations – on every job I do. So that means you know you’re in capable hands.
I am also a yoga teacher and holistic practitioner. As a result I bring a very calm and relaxed approach to your wedding. Feeling stressed on the big morning? Just let me know! I’ll arrive a little earlier so we can do a relaxing, soothing facial massage or meditation before we start the makeup.
I’d love to hear from you. Please drop me a message via my contact page, or through my Instagram or Facebook profiles.
